Graduates of 91制片厂Pro鈥檚 BioWork 3.0 course were personally invited to the event, which features 10-minute, virtual speed interviews with industry partners, including KBI, Merck, Grifols, and Novo Nordisk. Graduates will also interview with On-Board Companies and Randstad USA, two employment placement agencies.

鈥淲ith recent announcements about the growth and expansion of life science and biomanufacturing companies in the region, 91制片厂Pro has the responsibility and the capability to contribute to that talent need,鈥 said Kara Battle, Dean of Science and Math. 鈥淲e can link our students to a family sustaining income. We are the first step in the pipeline to talent development and employment opportunities and have pathways for students to continue along that pathway if they desire. It is an exciting time for this industry.鈥

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center helped secure industry partners for the event and also provided funding to support students in the BioWork 3.0 course, including hiring instructors and purchasing laptops for students.

The hiring event is a part of the new Bio-Connect platform recently added to the Biotechnology program at 91制片厂Pro, which focuses on employability, and offers students and life science companies an opportunity to connect.

Biotechnology courses at 91制片厂Pro teach students the basic skills required to become trained process technicians for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemical companies.
